- Deepening in Nature -
A Vision Quest
- September 12 - 16
- Nature is full of wondrous blessings, waiting to shower upon you. In this vision quest, create a space to sit quietly with Nature, to practice being open, receptive, listening, to hear what Nature has to teach you. Our relationship with the world of Nature is just that - a relationship.
- This retreat is a time for feeding this relationship, offering our presence and attention, listening and receiving the wisdom that the nature spirits have to offer us. We will use shamanic journeys to prepare for our time together, determining our own individual needs for the quest, so that each can be fully supported as we build bridges and heal the rift between humans and the natural world. This year the vision quest will be held during a new moon, a good time for re-birth!
- The quest is facilitated by Lindsey Swope and Jan Kinsey.
- "My time at Skalitude on the Vision Quest was just what I needed to hunker down and listen. The small group added a deep sense of community to both the beginning of the quest and the welcoming home. I loved the attention and space that was created for setting clear intent for the quest and plenty of time for integration with the pre and post quest group shamanic journeys. In a world where rites of passage and time for solitude and listing to nature are in short supply; this is a lovely way to reclaim time and space for both."
- Joanna Schmidt
The structure of this quest is intentionally organic, there is a basic outline but details depend on the desires and contributions of those participating. It will include elements of shamanic journeying, singing and chanting, plant spirit medicine and storytelling. It is intended for people who have a mature spiritual practice, who seek an opportunity to deepen their connection with Nature.
