WORK-TRADE & VOLUNTEERS

We couldn't pull off this amazing event without volunteers and work-trade!

Almost everyone helps by volunteering with something! Consider it a village where everybody pitches in!

Major work-trade/volunteer positions are:

  • Set-up - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
sign making, decorating, organizing, site preparation...
  • Meal preparation - 3 hour shifts
  • Keeping port-a-potties clean
  • Clean-up - Monday and Tuesday
  • Miscellaneous other jobs

Work-trade is for people who trade work hours for attending the congress.

Full work-trade 20 hours
¾ work-trade 15 hours pay $50
½ work-trade 10 hours pay $100

To do a full work trade setting up, you need to arrive by end of the day Tuesday before the Congress to work on Wednesday and Thursday.

To do half trade setting up, you need to arrive on Wednesday to work on Thursday.

We ask for full days if you want to stay after to help clean up - so half trade would mean staying until the end of the day on Monday. If you don't want to drive at night you're welcome to stay and leave first thing Tuesday morning. It can get hot here in the middle of the day, so this is another reason we are doing it this way - more work tends to get done in the morning and later afternoon/evening so we are planning for that!

You can definitely do half set up and half clean up, arriving late on Wednesday and leaving late Monday or first thing Tuesday. Basically for every 10 hours trade time, you need to be here a full day, even though you probably won't work a full 10 hours in a day, you will at least be available for that amount of time! If everything goes right, trading for set up and clean up should involve minimal trade time during the Congress

Work-trade jobs and hours to be agreed upon before the event.
