WORK-TRADE
FAIRY & HUMAN RELATIONS CONGRESS
Congress participants can do work-trade for part of their fee.
Work-trade allows lower income people to attend, plus it helps the Congress fill its many job positions. Work-trade has always been an important part of getting the work done at the Congress.
Work-trade is for people who can’t afford the congress fees. Almost everyone else helps by volunteering for varying lengths of time. Volunteers pay full price plus help out. The congress couldn’t happen without volunteers.
$10/hour for work-trade.
For instance, 5 hours work reduces your fee by $50.
10 hours reduces it by $100.
10 hours maximum unless by special arrangement.
Work-trade jobs and hours to be agreed upon before the event.
Major work-trade job positions are:
- Set-up, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
- Sign-making, Wednesday, Thursday.
- Meal preparation, 2 people before each meal
- Kitchen cleaning. 2 people during each meal.
- Parking. Thursday afternoon and .Friday.
- Children’s area. The days of the congress, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Keeping port-a-potties clean
- Clean-up. Monday
- Miscellaneous other jobs.
