VOLUNTEERS

Here are some of the main areas we need volunteers in.
There is a space on your registration form to note where you'd like to volunteer. You can do the timing and sign-up at registration when you get to the Congress.

Set-up.
There is always a huge amount of work to create the infrastructure for our village of a week. All kinds of practical skills and willing hands are needed. Can you come early?

Food is our biggest area needing volunteers.

Food Prep:
2 people for each meal. One hour before each meal or agreed upon time period with cook.

Setting up serving lines:
2 people for each meal. 15 minutes before meals and first hour of mealtime.

Kitchen cleanup.
1 person. Last half of each meal period.

Dish Line Angel
1 person. Keeping the water hot and sanitized and the dish lines moving. During each meal period and a half hour afterwards.

Sign-making: Most signs are made during the set-up phase early in the week, but some signs are needed during the Congress.

Decoration: Many people help decorate in some way, but some people come especially prepared with materials to make the place beautiful. Is there anyone who would like to make this one of their priorities? Bring flags, pendants, banners, hangings, natural art, and other beautiful and magical objects to decorate the Congress. What do you feel called to bring?

Photography. Every year several photographers take pictures and send them to us digitally for our photo website gallery. Would anyone like to be a photographer for us this year? Note: We request that no one take videos without talking to us first and getting approval.

Information Booth.
Shifts of varying lengths can be arranged. This is especially important from Thursday afternoon through Friday, which is when most people arrive. Answering questions of where things are and how things run.

Tea Kitchen. Volunteers are needed off and on during the congress to make tea and keep things neat and tidy.

Take down/Clean-up.
People are invited to stay and help late Sunday and Monday. Many hands make light work. We need about 5 people who stay until Tuesday for the finishing touches.

Children's Area
Volunteers are always helpful. Check in at the children's area during the Congress if you would like to help.
