Two of our presenters have cancelled:

June 7, 2006
As of June 7 we have the names of 180 people who are participating in this year’s Fairy & Human Relations Congress. Thousands of people wish they could attend. We expect that around 250 people actually will attend.
So, there is still room at the Congress. We have extended early registration price to June 15, and we will honor the early price even for email registrations by that date.
We have worktrade positions for those who wish to reduce the cost.
Recent additions have been made to the CONFIRMED PRESENTERS information. See Madi Nolan, David Lertzman, Robert J. Stewart, Linda Quintana, Morgan Brent and Ephemera Wilde.
Every year has been spiritually uplifting. This year is shaping up to be even more magical and fun!
You are invited to enjoy the company of the assembled humans and fairies right after this summer solstice.

Rock people want to participate and help keep us grounded. The crossroads is a place which assists humans to communicate with the fairy realm. Come and dance at the crossroads.
HONORING COLOR
Daphne Charters transcribed hundreds of stories which were narrated to her by the team of nature-spirit fairies she worked closely with. They include a series of stories about fairy journeys to the "Harneles" color sector realm. The Harneles sector is a special realm and its inhabitants work with the color in the universe.
Color has always been a constant presence at the Fairy & Human Relations Congress. We are a colorful event. For the past 2 years we have chosen color as one of the congress themes. We would like to continue this year and even more consciously link with the color realms. Some of you may remember participating in Anahata's color wave at the 2003 congress. Our website photo of people waving white flags was from the color wave. Bring colorful items. kaleidoscope * colors streaming in the forest and in the wind * crystals.
Come & see what color has in store for us this year . . .

Dana Lyons may make a guest appearance. We welcome skits, poetry, dance. This year we expect even more diversity and fun to help whisk us away to fairyland.
VILLAGE LAYOUT
This year we expect to arrange much of the congress around a town square area. The kitchen will be in its usual place as will the showers and water. The other sides of the square will be lined by the the tea kitchen, children's area, costuming, make up, bulletin board, information center, massage and energy-work sharing area and vending booths.
Skalitude Retreat Center is buying their very own Sky Lodge from Jaybird.
CHILDREN
We are looking for 3 children's area coordinators. Paid positions, $400 total. Craft and activity oriented.
Children's fee goes up to $35 to help pay for this.
FOOD
We are offering Mary McNutt a well-deserved vacation after being head kitchen coordinator the the last 3 years. We are looking for more paid kitchen ccoordinators. Ordering, lunch, dinner, sprouts, etc. Aera will be breakfast cook for the 2nd year.,
Sue Aufhauser and Maera will help coordinate fruit & salads and raw food for lunch and dinner.
Bring your own snacks and special treats.
In addition, snacks may be available in front of the kitchen at various times.
Bring your own marked bowl, cup and utensils.
We request that everyone volunteer for a shift in the kitchen or other tasks.
The Healing Area gets a new name.
Massage and Energy-Work Sharing Area
Laura Sweaney is coordinating set up again.
GODDESS TEMPLE LOUNGE
A new feature at this year's congress is a Goddess Temple Lounge. Initial committee members are Fanny Porter, Laura, Raven, and Camilla. Would anyone else like to help them? Here are some of the visions:
Beautiful * Serene * Large low tents * Shady * Cool * Away from commotion * Futons and pillows * Soft place *Altar/altars to feminine * Visiting place * Socializing * Music * Tea * Lounge * Aphrodite shrine to the senses * Creative free form energy * A space dedicated to impromptu * Storytelling * Co-creative space * Massage * Celebration of the senses * Womb temple space.
Make-up booth. Coordinated by Camilla and Ananda. Ananda is a fairy energy person who has just joined the fairy congress circle. She will apply her skills at body-art paintings at the Congress. Ananda was involved in helping set up the first Festival of the Little People outside of Minneapolis many years ago. This area will likely be adjacent to the costuming area
Nature Art. We encourage people to make impromtu art forms with natural materials at hand. Nature art a la Goldsworthy.
CAR-POOLING.
We strongly encourage car-pooling. Parking is one of the limiting factors at Skalitude. Car-pooling is better for the environment and better for Lindsay's relations with her neighbors. Her retreat center is only allowed so many vehicle passages a month. Help us keep the number low. If you need help finding/giving rides check out the Fairy congress website to see if we have set up a carpool signup section.
WORKTRADE
If you would like to do work trade in exchange for part of your admission fees we could use the help.
Work trade agreement is $10 per hour worked.
So if you want $100 off your admission fee you would need to work 10 hours during the congress. Please think carefully how much time you are willing to miss from congress events to meet your committment.
We are requesting work-trade people to sign up for specific jobs ahead of time.
We make a committment to use recycled paper where possible.
Weather Devas. Every year we talk to the weather devas. We acquiesce to their better judgement, but we can also put in our humble requests. Tell the weather angels what your perfect weather would like.
Publicity
Main publicity this year will be color handbills and postcards. A more detailed brochure with registration form will be available on request. There will be color posters. Let us know if you want multiple copies of any of these promo materials. We appreciate people helping spread the word.
- We need people to write articles about the Fairy Congress. Any takers?
- Can anyone get the congress mentioned in appropriate periodicals? Or on websites? Linked to websites?
- Person to person is a great way to help us publicize. Spread the word in your friendship circles.
Book Store at the Congress.
Lindsey and Trish will coordinate having books available from some of our past presenters such as Dorothy Mclean, David Spangler, Peter Tompkins and other notable authors.
2007
The 2007 Fairy & Human Relations will be on the June 22-23-24 weekend.
We have set the date early on so that more presenters can consider fitting us into their schedule.
Possible 2007 presenters include:
- Tom Cowan
- Michael Rhoads
- Caitlin Matthews
2007 or 2008 Congress Theme.
Indigenous Perspectives on Communicating With Nature.
Recognizing that indigenous people still living close to Mother Earth have remained in communication with the nature realms, we would respectfully like to invite indigenous peoples representatives to share what they will of their perception of communication with the realms of nature.
2007 - Northwest Indigenous People.
We realize that Washington tribes have been badly treated and betrayed many times. Much of their spiritual work is kept within the tribe. We would welcome Northwest tribal people to share what they would like about the native connection to the spirits of the land.
2008 - Global Indigenous People.
We do not have the funds nor the desire to fly people from the far corners of the earth. Rather we seek to connect with appropriate people who are already in the Pacific Northwest, long-term or just passing through. By now there are likely fairy spiritually-advanced indigenous people in the Northwest from all parts of the world. We are asking all of you to help the congress connect with tribal people who would be interested in sharing their perspective.
Fairy Songs section on website.
Send reviews of fairy music, musicians, CD's, and websites.
We would like to have a song section on the Fairy Congress website where people can find the words to the songs we sing at the Congress. Would anyone like to be our Keeper of the Songs?
All One, All One, All One, All One,
Celestials and Earthly Beings.
Song/dance created by Shemmaho for the 2004 congress.
Woodland band was our main act at the 2005 concert. One of the very best human bands on the fairy circuit. Not only that, but members Emilio and Kelly organize the FaerieWorlds Festival. The 2006 Festival is happening July 29-30 near Eugene, Oregon. www.faerieworlds.com
The band is at www.woodlandmusic.net
MOVIE REVIEWS ON www.fairycongress.com
In the last 10 years there have been a dozen or so movies with a fairy theme that I have come across. How many are there? It would be great to read reviews. Send your reviews in:
Please limit reviews to movies with noteworthy fairy or angel involvement. Title, Year, How to obtain (if not at regular video stores).
Example Movie Review
Fern Gully
I watched this animated film several times with my son about 6 years ago. A young, handsome logger gets shrunk down to fairy size and becomes allied with the fairies to save their old-growth forest from being logged by the tree-hating demon controlling the logging company humans. The fairies prevail. Happy ending. It is pretty hokey, but I still cried. M. Pilarski

Posted A FEW ASTROLOGICAL COMMENTS ON THE FAIRY & HUMAN RELATIONS CONGRESS 2006 by Two Eagles
Jan 10, 2006
Posted a list of confirmed presenters.
The development of the Fairy Congress is definitely swinging towards music and the performing arts even more strongly this year. Anyone who has ever been to the congress knows that there is already a lot of musical notes and musical jams. We’ll soon see what this year brings but it looks good with Lisa Thiel, other new musicians (maybe Dana Lyons), and our many regular musicians as well as Anahata Pomeroy on color and Sheri Trnka on costuming and giant flowers. Plus this year we have a new Creativity /Perfomance Art/Parade Committee. The Saturday evening Fairy Parade has always been the high point of the Congress. The costuming and setting are amazing. Even more amazing is the energy whipped up by the humans and the fairies. If you’ve been there you will know whereof I speak. If you’ve never been there check out some of parade photos in the photo galleries. Every year there are amazing multitudes of orbs photographed.
At any rate, come prepared to make music, for costuming, for ceremony, for dancing, for building group energies and for tapping into the fairy realms. Come prepared for art and for performance art. Bring your fairy art. Let’s make this year’s fairy art gallery the best yet.
In 2004 we had 7 workshop periods during the congress. In 2005 we reduced it to 6. This year we may reduce it to 5, to leave more time for people to do things together in non-workshop ways. We are also urging our presenters to incorporate more experiential aspects in their workshops. Although there is still a space for lecture format workshops, the congress is tending towards less talking and more doing.
The Skalitude Retreat Center is at the end of the road at the head of a remote mountain valley in the North Cascades. We are happy to be returning back to Skalitude where we held the first 3 congresses. They have a new improved website. Take a look. www.skalitude.com
Hello fairy allies,
The momentum for the 6th Fairy & Human Relations congress is gathering steam and we will be putting up many more additions and updates to this website in the coming months. The Congress still holds its unique place as the deepest fairy event in the US.
The Fairy Advisory Committee has metamorphosed into the Fairy Organizing Committee and is taking on more of the organizing tasks. Many thanks to them. Our next meeting is on January 28-29 near Bellingham and there will be lots more information to share after that.
Latest updates to the web in the last 2 weeks:
We would like to expand the Links section of fairycongress.com until it becomes the largest and best fairy links site on the web. We have got a good start. Anyone interested in joining Jan Kinsey on the “LINKS” committee ? The links section is also a doorway into the Who’s Who in Fairyland.
Sponsors. The Congress is looking for a few good sponsors. They could be a company, organization or person. Sponsors contribute $500 or in-kind donations, to help the congress better serve the human participants and the fairy realms.
Fairy Best wishes and lots of fairy dust,
Michael Pilarski
We have just initiated a project to compile a list of people who have notably advanced the cause of human and fairy communication. See Who's who in fairyland .

A wide range of fairies, devas and Light beings were also in attendance. From the land and past associates of the Congress.
Several dozen other people and members of the fairy advisory committee were invited but could not make it. We hope to see them at future meetings.
The Renewal was a wonderful time. It was so nice to be back at Skalitude. Many of the old-guard fairy advisory committee were there. The fairy advisory committee has met about 6 times over the past two years at Fanny's place on Whidbey Island. This was the first meeting of a new round for an expanded fairy advisory committee and the maturing of a core group to put on the Fairy & Human Relations Congress. Michael said he was willing to have the congress be more of a shared responsibility.
Saturday morning and afternoon was devoted to a wondrous workshop by Robert and Lili Stewart. The main theme was communication with the fairy realms during these modern times. Another major topic was offerings. The afternoon included an experiential workshop with the fairy realm.
Robert said that watching television was very unhealthy and makes it impossible to reach deeper levels of fairy communication.
One old quote that Robert passed on was "Wherever there is one splinter of wood, there the Great Forest is with you, even in the heart of a modern city."
It was clearly stated that we should use the whole title "Fairy & Human Relations Congress" rather then shortening the name to the more convenient 'Fairy Congress'. The longer name has a clearer meaning and a different vibe.
What does the congress mean to you?
One of the moving insightful exercises we did was to go around the room and each person said some things about how important the congress was for them.
Some comments included:
- Family
- Experiences happen.
- Healing the separation.
- Happy spirit dancing, fun & energies
- Coming Home.
- Ecstatic meetings with people and joy to be our true selves.
- Family and best people.
- Immersion in the other realms.
- Can include kids. Kids trusted as spiritual beings and can be heard.
- Accepting of fairy believers.
- Family, but diverse.
- Be yourself, unconditional love
- The place.
- Deep permission to be true self.
- Validates fairies for children.
- Dedication to help restore the balance
- Cup of love overflowing.
- Family.
- Receptive and critical audience for teaching.
- The other world manifests in physical realm.
- Community.
- Network with like-minded people.
|
- Loves learning & education.
- Light love fun, but grounded and earthy.
- Festivities.
- Magic Happens
- Helps feel things.
- Connecting with nature, peaceful loving, creating a new way of being.
- Need Strength.
- People from Findhorn and Celtic traditions
- Veil between the worlds is thin.
- Big energy happening
- Family.
- Accepted
- Commonality of language
- Costumes
- Really powerful.
- Experiential.
- Walk away with lots of love
- Pebble in the water in the universe.

Some topics which were discussed:
Budget report for the 2005 congress was that we broke even. This was only possible because of some extra donations and some people taking less money then we had originally agreed upon.
We had a discussion about balancing the budget. This will be a continuing discussion. One outcome was that we will reduce the presenter budget to reduce our costs. We do not want to raise prices. Possibly we could lower admission prices slightly.
Have a reduced admission rate for families.
Fund raising for speakers and scholarships.
Raise money with raffles or auction.
3 main strands at the congress.
* Education
* Play
* Intentional fairy communication and ceremony.
Have one keynote speaker at a plenary session.
Have the schedule more planned beforehand and have less changes in the schedule at the event.
Have less workshops.
More meditation and quiet time to be with the land.
Do several longer intensive workshops before, during or after the congress.
Some workshop periods can can be information/lecture formats . Other time periods can be experiential.
Ceremonial backbone
1 workshop period in morning
1 workshop period in the afternoon.
Longer workshop periods
We will look at other events' scheduling to get ideas.
Have the gate more integrated and less peripheral.
Robert is planning an offerings ceremony for the next congress. He needs a big cauldron. Let Michael P know if you have something that might be suitable.
We will build a big crossroads out of stones and put a "well" at the center. All ages can participate. The crossroads can be dedicated at a circle ceremony.
Staff ID badges. How can we come up with something so that the organizers are visibly identified. Various ideas were put out, but nothing was decided on. Marianne said she could coordinate some iron-on fabric. > Also, Shari had an idea that we would make flower headdresses to identify HELPER/staff people.
We should state on our publicity that the congress is a drug-free and alcohol-free event.
We discussed how to be considerate of people with different abilities. This can include parents with toddlers, young children, elderly or physically compromised. Can they be given special roles? Something that gives them a feeling of dignity. Perhaps sometimes they can sit in the center during active events.
Children need workshops. They should plan them and the workshops can be open to all ages. There needs to be more thought on how to integrate the teens.
Volunteer expectations are not clear. We need it well spelled out.
There needs to be a better way of coordinating volunteers at the info booth. The area coordinators need more clarity also.
Michael finished typing up the 71 messages received at the 2005 Congress and had copies available. Next step is to get them posted on the web and let all congress participants know they are available.
Maire Walsh has proposed hosting a smaller, quieter, slower-paced, fairy gathering at her place east of Bellingham.
We need to make some email list serves to facilitate communication within the various committees (or use postcards).
We need a web chat room where all congress people can leave suggestions and make comments and carry on conversations.
You are the ones you have been waiting for.
"As long as they think we're crazy, we're safe."

Dora Van Gelder's book "The Real World of Fairies" has a chapter about how hurricanes operated on the devic level. Hurricanes from the deva's point of view. Interesting reading.
Where will we have follow-up meetings until the next Congress ?
Victoria offered her place in Port Townsend
Fanny can proably host one is Seattle
Sheri Trnka perhaps in 2006.
