Directions to the Fairy Congress.

If coming from Oregon or points south. You can come up
I-5 and take any of the 3 routes from the Seattle
area.

Or consider the eastside option:
Take I-84 east from Portland which runs up the
Columbia Gorge. At the Dalles cross the Columbia and
go north on Hwy 97 (signs to Goldendale). Go over
Satus pass (3,100 ft.) When you get to Toppenish
follow signs to I-82 and get on I-82 N. Go by Yakima
and over several dry ridges. I-82 will intersect with
I-90 just east of Ellensburg. Get on I-90 west until
the Hwy 97 N. exit at Cle Elum. Go north on Hwy 97
over Blewett Pass,, down the Wenatchee River valley
and then up the Columbia River. Just before Pateros
you take a left onto Hwy 153 and go up the Methow
River Valley.

The advantages of this eastside route are that you can
skip the Seattle area traffic.

Local directions: The site is in a mountain valley just off the lower Methow River Valley. the Methow river valley runs through the North Cascades in north-central Washington. Look at a road map of Washington State. Notice Hwighway 153 which runs between the towns of Pateros (located on Highway 97 on the Columbia River) and the town of Twisp (located on
Highway 20). Just south of the town of Carlton turn
west (uphill) onto Libby Creek Road (paved). About 3
miles up Libby Creek Road there is a Y (where the
pavement ends). Take the right hand road which is
marked Chicamum Canyon. Go 1.3 miles and take a right
onto Smith Canyon Road. The road ends at the Skalitude
Retreat left 1.8 miles up the Smith Canyon road.
Look for signs that say Skalitude and Congress.

Have a safe drive and enjoy the scenery.
