Dorothy Maclean
& David Spangler
will be attending
Fairy Congress III !!

We are honored and delighted to announce that Dorothy Maclean and David Spangler will both be attending and presenting at the Fairy & Human Relations Congress III which will be held June 27-29, 2003. Dorothy and David are two of the key people who carried the Findhorn Community's message of deva communication around the world.

Dorothy Maclean

Dorothy Maclean is one of the original founders of the Findhorn Community and known worldwide for her pioneering contact with the inner voice of the sacred and for her work with the Angels of nature and nations. Dorothy has probably done more than any other single person in the 20th century to popularize the idea that humans can communicate with devas. She is truly one of our honored elders (in all the best meanings of the term).

Dorothy Maclean was one of the three founders of the Findhorn community in Scotland. Following her inner contact with the divine she also came to communicate with the devic or angelic realms that over-light all aspects of existence. This helped Findhorn’s legendary gardens bloom on most unpromising soil. Dorothy's earlier work, To Hear the Angels Sing, often republished, contains many of her communications with not only the essences of plants, but with minerals, animals and groups of humans too. In her book, Choices of Love, Dorothy talks in a detailed way about her own inner practices and attunement to the Beloved. She gives suggestions for the reader's own practice, and information she has received from the over-lighting presences of cities and countries. To Honor the Earth, a beautiful book with photographs by Kathleen Thormod Carr, details communications with devic realms. Born in Guelph, Ontario, Dorothy now lives in the Pacific Northwest. Website: www.lorian.org

Dorothy Mclean's workshop is "God, Humanity and Nature. This workshop will explore our capacity to tune into inner divinity as a source of wisdom, love and power for contacting the essence of all life and the intelligences of nature.

David Spangler

David Spangler is a philosopher, writer and educator in incarnational spirituality; the integration of spiritual values, energy and presence into everyday life. He is executive director of the Lorian Association and past co-director of the Findhorn Community. His books include: Everyday Miracles, A Pilgrim in Aquarius, The Call, Parent as Mystic, Mystic as Parent, Blessing: the Art and Practice and others. David Spangler has been active in the spiritual field since the middle sixties. Since a child, he has had conscious awareness of and communication with supersensory worlds of spirit. It is out of that contact that his work has evolved. Website: www.lorian.org

David Spangler's workshop will be on "Kinship With All Fairies". Human beings, fairies, devas and angels are all cousins. This workshop will explore the kinship between ourselves and the Fairy Kingdom, the links between the fairy world within us and the fairy realm of the world.

Findhorn Community

The Findhorn Foundation is the educational and organizational cornerstone of the Findhorn Community, founded in Scotland by Peter and Eileen Caddy and Dorothy MacLean in 1962. It is a major international centre of spiritual education and personal transformation, offering many ways for people to visit, or to live and work in community. The Findhorn Foundation is located in northeast Scotland, east of Inverness. Visit www.Findhorn.org

Circle of Peace Flags

Anyone who attended the 2002 Okanogan Family Fall Barter Faire will remember the tall circle of 40 white peace flags. This circle of 40 white peace flags will be set up at Fairy Congress III. Their message will continue to be peace on Earth betweeen humans; but with the added intentions of peace between the human and fairy realms, as well as, peace between humans and Mother Earth.

Spiritual Growth

The Fairy Congress is about spiritual growth. Spiritual growth for ourselves as individuals and to nurture relationships with - and service to -the beautiful world we live on. The Fairy Congress is not about dangerous goblins or boogiemen under the bed, or the types of gruesome creatures that Hollywood sensationalizes in its fantasies. It is not the quaint little dwarves in Disneyland's Snow White. The Fairy Congress is not a gathering of gay men (although some may attend). The Fairy Congress is about communication. It is about healing the communication lines between humans and the Earth and between humans and the fairy/deva realm. It is about communication between humans who believe in fairies.

All Ages Welcome!

All ages welcome. The Fairy Congress is a family event. Children and teens are welcome. If elders or anyone else has difficulty moving around our outdoor site, we will make every effort to assist them in getting around. Please inquire if you have any concerns about mobility.

An invitation to the 3rd Annual
Fairy & Human Relations Congress
June 27-29, 2003

~ Skalitude Retreat Center, North Cascades, Methow Valley, Washington ~

A gathering of humans and fairies to improve relations & assist each other in planetary healing.

Workshops Circles & Rituals
A Fairy Parade
Singing & Dancing
Fairy Art Gallery
Joint Human & Fairy Meditations Camping in a beautiful mountain forest

You are invited to attend this year's Fairy & Human Relations Congress in the North Cascades of Washington State. The 2001 and 2002 Congresses were very successful and filled with wonderful experiences.

This Congress is for anyone who sincerely believes in fairies. Those who see fairies and angels or who communicate or work with them are invited to share their experiences and insights.

The Skalitude Retreat Center is a beautiful site for the Congress. It is nestled at the end of a remote mountain valley in the North Cascades in the Methow Valley watershed. The main inhabitants are ponderosa pines, douglas firs, aspens, bunchgrasses, countless wildflowers, deer, coyotes, and bear; and many fairies.

The Retreat Center is a 160-acre site surrounded by National Forest. Facilities include a large, log-cabin lodge which is the fairy art gallery and a workshop area. The Sky Lodge is a beautiful, winged structure, somewhat akin to a flattened out tipi. It is 54 feet across, 2200 square feet and can hold hundreds of people. We have a large, roofed, outdoor kitchen where we prepare our common meals. There will also be a tea kitchen. Many of the Congress activities take place outdoors. Children and teens are welcome. This is a kid-friendly event.

2003 Congress Themes

Music

Rainbow Colors

Fairy/Deva Communication

Fairy and Deva communication continues to be the main theme of the Congress.

Music is a special theme for 2003. RJ Stewart is asking us to bring pennywhistles in the key of D. His presentations this year will focus on using music to work with the faeries. Neil Leonard's workshops will be musical events. Anahata is coming with her tar drum and toning and is putting out the general call for participants to bring their musical instruments. As part of this year's Saturday evening concert let's do a couple of jams with everyone on an instrument! There has been great music at both previous Congresses, but this year let us create even more beautiful music!

So yes, you might want to bring your earplugs if you are a light sleeper who likes to go to bed early. This year we are asking for a noise curfew in the camping areas from midnight till 7:00 am. There will be places for all those people who like to drum, music, sing, chant and dance wildly late into the night - but please, not in the residential camping areas.

Rainbow colors theme. There has always been lots of color at the fairy congress, and every year we aim to make it a more colorful scene. Color is an important component of fairy and deva existence. Most humans could use more color in their lives. So please bring colorful flags, banners, tapestries, clothing and costumes, artwork for the art gallery, etc.

Please see schedule of fees here.

WORKSHOPS

Workshops will focus on fairies, nature spirits, devas, angels, herbal healing, flower essences, aromatherapy, earth restoration, co-creation gardening, animal communication, geomancy, and related topics.

We honor everyone's contribution. Each human and fairy who attends brings their own special magic and knowledge to share. We are all students and we are all teachers and co-creators. Each participant is an important delegate to this convocation of many beings.

How many fairies and devas attend? We are assured it is in the thousands. Fairies and devas of many ranks and sizes attend. Some are similar in size to the small 'hand-size' fairies we see represented in the common press. Others are immense beings of great power. Remember though, that size is not necessarily an indicator of knowledge, wisdom or power. The fairy beings who attend the Fairy Congress are fully as intelligent (and often much more so) than the human participants. We approach the fairies and devas with respect and love as co-creators of this event. The fairies and devas have a concurrent Congress as well as interacting with the human participants during circles and joint meditations.

Please check your inner guidance to see if it may be appropriate for you to attend.
